Underground - Letters From the Persecuted Michael Paul A native of Iraq. Michael Paul began his life as a dedicated Muslim. At the age of twenty-three, though a witness of a friend, and the miraculous intervention of Jesus Himself, Michael Paul surrendered his life fully to the One True God, Jesus Christ. As a result of his unwavering commitment to his new faith, he was persecuted by, and eventually lost all contact with his family. Through his journey, he has suffered multiple kidnappings, and has been physically tortured many times in an effort to convince him to deny his faith in Jesus. On one occasion he was held for four days, hung by his hands, which were tied behind his back, for long periods of time, beaten nearly to death. Between August 2010 and April 2011 Michael Paul was forced to live in hiding in the middle East. The letters contained in this book were written during that period and were heart felt communications to the world outside.
